It doesn't take itself too seriously and is fun to play with your kids. The roster for each team is comprised of kid sized NFL players and neighborhood kids. The games are not played in large arenas but rather in backyards, local parks, and schools. Donovan McNabb, Michael Vick and other NFL stars make an appearance in this great game. You can choose which team you want to play on and which all star is going to join you. Also, the game allows you to choose where you play football at. This is the type of game that parents can play with their children and still have a good time. Even though it looks cute on the outside, the standard rules of football still apply. After the first half with your child you will forget that you are playing a children's game. The graphical styling in the game is actually very well done and colorful. It will keep your child entertained while not being overly flashy or loud. The 2004 edition of Backyard Football added a all new roster of NFL pros and a new power up system. This series is both Mac and PC compatible so don't hesitate to pick this one up and throw the old virtual pig skin around on a rainy day!
